Principal's Letter October
Dear Pomona Families,
Each year Pomona Elementary is required to develop goals related to improving student achievement. Our Unified Improvement Plan (U.I.P.) is traditionally developed using state assessment data collected from the previous year. With the changes in state assessments over the past few years, this data is no longer our primary source for developing plans for improvement. For this reason, we will be including additional data collected that is related to Social and Emotional Readiness for Learning, NWEA, DIBELS and other local measures. Our School Accountability Committee, in conjunction with our teachers and administration, reviews and makes recommendations regarding the plan for improvement.
More information about our school performance can be found on the Colorado Department of Education web page. http://www.cde.state.co.us/
The School Accountability Committee will review the plan for improvement at the next scheduled meeting on Thursday, November 15th, at 4:10 PM. You are invited to attend this meeting.
Thank you for your continued support of our school, the staff and our programs.
